Blog › The Weakest Link
There are many things to consider that can limit the maximum charging speed of a vehicle. This includes the electric vehicle itself, the charger, and its power supply. An EV will only charge as fast as the weakest component in the system allows it to. This is because as mentioned in “safety when charging” the charging station talks with the electric vehicle via the charging cable and automatically starts charging with the correct current or kW for your car. The charger will always do its best to give as much supply as it can to the car without causing issue to any other part of your electrical system. We design charging systems that will eliminate or lower the impact of any weak link in your charging system allowing for maximum efficiency and faster charge times.
